The Shepherd's Crook Ministries is a 501(c)(3)
non-profit ministry funded solely through donations and
fund-raising activities. Any donations sent to help our ministry
are tax-deductible. The bulk of our expenditures are assistance
grants to help facilitate the adoptions of Shepherd's Crook
children; international adoptions can range anywhere from $10,000
to more than $30,000 each. The grants are limited to families
pursuing the adoptions of children listed on The Shepherd's Crook
Ministries' Web site. Some other areas in which funds might be used
include: expenses associated with gathering information on children
eligible for adoption, including travel to countries-of-origin and
long distance phone charges; maintaining the Web site; producing
and distributing newsletters and informational literature; costs
associated with fund-raising activities, or any of the various
branches of our ministry (for a list of these branches, click here); and adoption expenses of
any of The Shepherd's Crook children. We feel a great burden of
responsibility before God and those who donate, to be prudent in
the ways we use the funds. We have a board of Godly men and women
who guide and direct the activities of the ministry.
There are several ways to support this ministry financially:
- Donations may be undesignated, in which case they would be put
into the ministry's general fund and used, at the discretion of the
Board of Trustees, as described above, for assistance grants and
ministry expenses. These donations may be in the form of either a
one-time contribution or ongoing support.
- You can commit to monthly support toward the Director Salary. Click here to learn more.
- Donations may be designated for a specific child, in which case
they would be used only for the costs associated with that child's
adoption. These funds are held on account until a family contacts
The Shepherd's Crook and begins the process of adopting that child.
At that point, we would begin using the funds in that child's
account to cover his or her adoption expenses. These donations may
also be in the form of either a one-time contribution or ongoing
support. (Note that the decision to apply donated funds toward the adoption expenses of a specific child rests always and incontrovertibly with our Board of Trustees. Our Board generally elects to use the funds in accordance with the wishes of the donor, but it is not always possible to do so.)
If you are interested in supporting a child of The Shepherd's
Crook in this way, please

- Donations may be designated for any of the various branches of
our ministry; for a list of these branches, click here.
